The Singapore Ministry of Manpower (MOM) has launched a public consultation exercise on the proposed amendments to the Employment Act (EA).

The objective of this consultation is to seek public feedback on the proposed amendments to the EA with respect to the following:

  • Extending the coverage of the EA
  • Improving employment standards and benefits for employees
  • Reducing rigidity and augmenting flexibility for employers

Public consultation is currently ongoing and will end on 11 Jan 2013.
