The Ministry of Manpower has indicated that since the Marina Bay Sands (MBS) casino opened in April 2010, 14 employees have approached the Ministy to seek assistance on employment and contractual issues.  The employees are reported to be upset about salaries and erratic work schedules, such as the recording of medical certificates as no-pay leave, and hectic and poorly planned work schedules.

The Ministry is working with MBS to resolve the matter.
