The qualifying salary for Employment Pass (EP) applications will be raised from SGD 3,300 to SGD 3,600 from 1 January 2017.  Other criteria will also be taken into consideration as part of the overall application process.

EXisting EP holders whose passes expire:

 

will be able to renew, based on existing EP criteria, for a period up to 3 years
will be able to renew, based on existing EP criteria, for a period up to 1 year
will have to meet the new crieteria for renewal, for a period of up to 3 years

Employers and EP holders can use the Self-Assessment Tool by the Ministry of Manpower to check on their eligibility for renewals and/or new applications.
